Skin Care for the Vagina and/or Penis

During my discussions at Sex Toy Parties one of the topics that come up is aging, lubrication, skin issues, sensitive problems all related to the either the vagina or the penis.  Which made me write this article, as over the years, listening to people discuss their sexual issues (positive and negative) that sometimes the most simple discussion about skin care is really want people need to re-fresh.  So this article is about skin care concentrating of the vagina or penis.

So first off, our society spends more money and time on maintenance to our face, arms, legs, especially our stomachs, butts, feet etc.  But now many times do you here about skin maintenance for our vagina or penis?  Never!!!

On television we see tons of commercials on skin care products for every part of our body except one, which honestly is one of the most important parts that needs attention.  I have seen those commercials for Personal Lubricants – but honestly to understand Lubricants you need to understand ingredients – and one ingredient that doesn’t work well with skin care is Propylene Glycol – which is alcohol based which alcohol is a drying agent for the skin.

From the Wikipedia encyclopedia

The most popular lubricant on the market is K-Y Jelly

This is what is in K-Y jelly:

K-Y Jelly uses glycerin and hydroxyethyl cellulose as the lubricant, with chlorhexidine gluconate, glucono delta-lactone, methylparaben and sodium hydroxide as antiseptic and preservative additives.  The liquid form of the product combines glycerin with propylene glycol, sorbitol, and Natrosol 250H (a brand of hydroxyethyl cellulose) for lubrication, with benzoic acid, methylparaben and sodium hydroxide as additives.

I don’t know about you but personally this small list of ingredients – freak me out.  This list is not natural.  There is not one natural ingredient in the whole list.

So my opinion on skin care for either the vagina or the penis is to first understand what lubricant or moisturizer you are using.  Many men uses hand cream, Vaseline, or lubricant to masturbate, first check your ingredients and do your own back-ground check on the ingredients via the computer is full of information.  If you personally question one of the ingredients or you don’t feel comfortable with them, then change the product.  For women, we use monthly either tampons or pads which are bleached products which can cause skin issues over the years, but organic tampons and pads are very expensive.  Also we have underwear that is washed in chemicals and detergents that also can cause many problems for our vaginas.  Also many women are trimming, waxing, lazering etc our vaginas, which our vaginas are suppose to be hairy to protect the area and the skin.

So if moisture the vagina and penises!!

Ingredient suggestions are any lubricants or moisturizing creams that contain Aloe Vera or Vitamin E.  Our Gun Oil and Pink lubricants contain these ingredients.  The more natural the ingredients the better the product.  Remember that the chemicals in products needs to be researched individually and you must make your own choices on what you use on your body.  The choice is yours.
